Welcome to Connections Hint—your cozy corner of the internet where puzzle lovers come to get just the right amount of help.
We’re not here to spoil the fun—just to give you a nudge in the right direction.
Who We Are
Connections Hint is a personal blog, run by a puzzle enthusiast (that’s me 👋), created purely out of love for brain games—especially Connections, the daily word grouping puzzle from The New York Times. This site is unofficial, independent, and not affiliated with The New York Times in any way. It’s simply a fan-made space where you can come when you’re stuck, curious, or just want to solve smarter.
Whether you’re one square away from victory or trying to avoid that last-strike frustration, you’ll find something here to help—without ruining the experience.
Why I Created This Blog
Like many of you, I got hooked on Connections from the very first game. The way it combines pattern recognition, wordplay, logic, and lateral thinking is just… addictive. But some days, the game throws curveballs. Tricky categories, misleading words, or connections that feel just out of reach.
I often found myself wishing for a tiny push—not the answers, just a hint.
There were times I’d search online for a clue but only find full-on spoilers or unrelated pages. So I thought, why not create a space that gives thoughtful, minimal hints without giving it all away? That’s how Connections Hint was born.
This blog is for anyone who loves solving things on their own but doesn’t mind a gentle tap on the shoulder now and then.
What You’ll Find Here
At Connections Hint, I try to keep things clean, simple, and useful. Here’s what the blog offers:
-
✅ Daily Hints: Just enough info to help you make the next move—no spoilers unless you click for them.
-
🟨 Color-Based Clues: I group hints by difficulty level—yellow (easy), green (medium), blue (hard), and purple (tricky).
-
🧠 Solving Tips: Occasional posts on how to spot misleading words, common connection themes, or strategy guides.
-
🗂 Archive Access: Missed a day? You can go back and find hints for previous puzzles.
-
✉️ Optional Newsletter: For those who want hints delivered to their inbox—no spam, just puzzles.
My Hint Philosophy
I believe hints should help you think, not think for you.
That’s why I design each hint to keep the challenge alive. I avoid giving away the full category names right away or grouping all answers together. Instead, you might get a gentle theme nudge, a keyword to focus on, or a light suggestion to help your brain light up on its own.
This way, you still feel the joy of figuring it out—and that’s the best part of Connections, isn’t it?
